Allo. Bonjour. Salute.

We like to pretend we're French (or at least one of us does), but I'm pretty sure somewhere down the line we're both actually French. This blog will be a result of time + coffee + obscurity divided by noise. We'll try to be eclectic, but we are slightly biased and we don't deny it (but we'll try to change - sort of). The music posted on this blog are strictly for sampling's sake (meaning songs will be taken down after a certain amount of time has pasted, if you want something taken down please tell us and we'll be happy to oblige). We encourage you to support your local music scene (and the scene in general) and only wish to broaden your cd collection.

Merci, and take care.

Oh yes, and to keep in the French mood and all - our first song:

Malajube is a Montreal based band, who we've recently discovered. Though I can't sing along, their music is definitely catchy and danceable. They are refreshing and making their way into the English speaking Canadian independent music scene. Their sophomore album Trompe l'oeil came out in February/06, and to my knowledge everyone who's heard it has loved it (minus one person). It's spastic and raw, but fun and melodic. They're hyper and make you want to shake your head.

Ton Plat Favori is definitely one of my favorite songs from the album with staccato piano intro. It sort of makes me want to bounce. Enjoy!
