So this is the new year. Kay, I'll stop with the Death Cab puns. It was just too easy. But really, it's the new year. Now, I'm not the biggest Death Cab fan, but really it's the only new year song I know... or that Jennifer Lopez one back in '99. Let's not go there.
Anyways I came across the band about eight months ago. Now there isn't much information on them anywhere. Their MySpace is minimal and their geocities website is even smaller. Though from an interview I read on their MySpace page seems like the band is on the rocks, and what was a four player group, has changed to a one-man-show. As sad as it is, things do change.
I bought the When You Burn They Will Dance in the Rain EP and was pleasantly surprised, I didn't know what to expect from them, the disc could have been homemade with the design drawn on a possibly burnt cd. But they definitely caught my attention. However, I will continue to dig and learn more about this band.
Though I probably won't be able to see them on February 2 at the Horseshoe, since all the bands seem to like playing 19+ shows recently... I'm sure they will be a joy to see.

Firstly, you forgot WILLENIUM as a fine piece of New Years-themes songwriting and craftsmanship.
Secondly, good call on the Timber Timbre. I am impressed you guys have heard of them!
Thirdly, they just had a show yesterday ( http://www.stillepost.ca/boards/index.php?topic=69987.0 )so I don't *think* they're on the rocks as of yet.
Lastly, I know for sure that you can get Cedar Shakes at SS. *nods* = )
