Ok my darlings. Where do I begin?

Well let's see, there is this beautiful Aussie band Juke Kartel, and I have had the pleasure of seeing them live once and meeting them in person twice. Yes twice. These guys are the coolest and their sound is amazing. They are one of the few bands that I can honestly say, sound better live and they do on disc. However, I'm sad to report that I do not have any of the recorded music on my computer available for you to download - BUT I have an amazing story that I think you will all like (or be mildly jealous of me).

Basically trekking it down to Massey Hall on a very cold day to lurk around the venue. Now the show was sold-out sadly, so we didn't have tickets. But we wanted to lurk, 'cause you know lurking is fun. So we wandered around, not really seeing anyone and not really knowing what to do. But then... we see a flash skunk-like hair, and yes, it's Lukas Rossi, lead singer of supergroup Rockstar Supernova. Sadly we weren't able to talk to him, as he had to head back into the venue for soundcheck or meet and greet. Nevertheless, it seemed as if the fates were on our side today, as we say Toby Rand who we were able to meet last December at the Juke Kartel show at the Mod Club in Toronto. After some lovely small talk he was on his way.

It's doesn't stop there. Two guitarists from the Australian band were walking along the street. Of course, being the friendly Torontoians we are, we went up and said hi. Talking for a bit the two asked where they could find the mall (mall being the Eaton's center, being the HUGE mall right in front of them). So, not knowing exactly how to get in the mini shopping district we escorted them. Once inside, pictures were taken, and thanks was exchanged. Sadly, we weren't able to go into the show and buy their newly recorded EP. But! Hope is not lost (sadly, it didn't COMPLETELY work out and we don't have the EP in our possession, there is a very happy ending to this story), Todd took down my number and said they would try to get us each a copy of the EP. -INSERT HUGE SMILES HERE-. Though, I didn't think they would call, you know being up and coming rockstars preforming, realistically I didn't think they would have time, or remember. BUT THEY DID. TODD CALLED ME. Sadly, it was late and I had already gone home and thus, unable to pick up the EP, but they had remembered and gone out of their way for a fan. This is amazing.

according to Todd, the EP should be available for purchase on the website in about four to five days. ENJOY!
